Import Templates

About this site

Import Templates publishes free Excel templates and plain-language reference pages for people who import goods internationally. It is a small, independent site: no sponsors, no affiliate links, and no advertising.

What does this site publish?

Each page pairs one downloadable spreadsheet with a written explanation of the calculation behind it. The written part exists so you can check the formulas rather than trust them, and so the file is useful even before you open it.

How are the templates built?

Templates are built in Excel and tested in Google Sheets and LibreOffice Calc before publication. Formulas are left unlocked so you can inspect and adapt them, and no macros are used.

Why are there no duty rates on this site?

Duty rates, customs processing fees, and thresholds change and depend on classification, origin, and trade programs. Publishing a specific number that later goes stale would cost importers real money, so this site points to official sources instead and leaves the figure as an input you fill in.

How are errors corrected?

Reported errors are checked against an official source and fixed, and the page date is updated when the content changes. Send corrections through the contact page.
